Animals have long been domesticated for their eggs. Ancient peoples domesticated chickens, geese, and ducks for their eggs thousands of years ago. We still do today. Also, we farm fish like bass, salmon, and trout for their eggs. We also farm cassawarries, ostriches, and emus for eggs. We even farm crocodiles and alligators for their eggs.
